The 12 Best Sunday Roasts in Dubai 2026

I have eaten a roast every Sunday since November. Three months, twenty-six gravy boats. Here are the twelve in Dubai actually worth pulling the linen napkin out for — ranked by Yorkshire, gravy, and what you get for the money.

⭐ Ranked & Tested 💰 AED 145–395pp 📅 26 Sundays Tested

The Sunday roast in Dubai 2026 is the single most under-discussed ritual in this city's dining scene. Twenty hotels do one. Three independents do one. About twelve are actually worth your money, and four of those are worth crossing town for. I started this project in late November 2025 to settle the argument with my own table — Reform Social or Goose Island — and ended up eating my way through twenty-six consecutive Sundays. The list below is the result.

I scored each on the same five things: the meat (carved to order, properly rested, fat content honest), the Yorkshire pudding (height, crisp, hollowness), the gravy (proper roasting-tin reduction, not stock-cube gloop), the trimmings (roast potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, red cabbage), and value (what AED 200 actually buys you). Drinks are excluded — Dubai roast venues vary too widely on alcohol pricing for a fair comparison.

Twelve venues made it. Eight of them serve a roast under AED 250pp. Three of them have outdoor terraces that make eating a giant plate of beef in May still vaguely civilised. One of them — number three — does the best Yorkshire pudding I've eaten outside the UK in eight years. Let's go.

The 12 Best Sunday Roasts in Dubai — Ranked

1

Reform Social & Grill — The Lakes

📍 The Lakes Club💰 AED 195pp adult · AED 65 kid🕐 12:30pm–5pm🌳 Garden & play lawn
Reform Social Sunday roast Dubai — beef, Yorkshire, roast potatoes

Reform Social is the canonical Dubai Sunday roast and has been since 2014. The Lakes location is unfashionable in the best way — a low-slung pub-restaurant set in a cul-de-sac of the gated community, with a proper English garden, a lawn for kids, a fireplace that's actually used in January, and a kitchen that has been cooking the same roast for twelve years without losing the plot.

I went on Sunday 16 February 2026 for the seventh time this season. Topside of beef, served pink, two slices the thickness of an iPhone. Yorkshire pudding — the homestyle benchmark in Dubai — tall, eggy, with a properly crispy rim. Roast potatoes that have seen actual goose fat. Honey-roasted parsnips. Cabbage in red wine. A jug of gravy that tastes of pan, not powder.

Order this Topside of beef (AED 195), add the cauliflower cheese (AED 32) and the side of pigs in blankets (AED 38). Skip the wagyu upgrade — the topside is the point.
2

Goose Island Tap House — Westin Mina Seyahi

📍 Westin Mina Seyahi💰 AED 225pp🕐 1pm–5pm🏖️ Beach-side terrace
Goose Island Tap House Sunday roast Dubai — sirloin and trimmings

Goose Island is the closest thing Dubai has to a proper American sports-bar-meets-British-roast crossover, and the Sunday roast is the room's most committed dish. Sirloin sliced thicker than Reform's, with a more aggressive crust, served with a side of horseradish that hasn't been muted into mayonnaise. The Yorkshire is the size of a side plate, dense rather than fluffy — closer to a popover than a true Yorkshire — but the bowl shape catches gravy beautifully.

I sat at table 14 on the terrace on 9 March 2026. The breeze off the marina that day was the entire argument for eating a roast outdoors in March. Service was sharp from start to finish. The bottomless option (AED 295pp with house red, white, and three draughts) is one of the few in Dubai where the wine is drinkable.

Order this Sirloin roast (AED 225) + side of beef-dripping potatoes (AED 28) + bone-marrow gravy boat add-on (AED 18). The pigs in blankets are too sweet — skip.
3

Bull & Bear — Waldorf Astoria DIFC

📍 Waldorf Astoria DIFC💰 AED 295pp · AED 395 with prosecco🕐 1pm–4:30pm🍾 Five-star room
Bull and Bear Waldorf Astoria DIFC Sunday roast — wagyu sirloin

This is the most expensive roast on the list and the one with the best Yorkshire pudding I have eaten outside of Yorkshire itself. Individual, fluted, the size of a small soup bowl, hollow enough to fill with gravy. They are baked to order. The beef is a 28-day dry-aged Cape Grim sirloin, carved at the table off a wheeled trolley with a 12-inch carving knife.

I went on the first Sunday after the menu refresh, 1 March 2026. The trolley is theatre — there is no avoiding it. The carving captain Aimal recommended the rump cap over the sirloin and he was right. Cabbage braised in red wine, cauliflower cheese in a proper béchamel, and the gravy is the best in Dubai full stop — it tastes of bone marrow and a long, slow Sunday afternoon.

Order this Sunday roast with rump-cap selection (AED 295) + a half-bottle of Côtes du Rhône from the by-the-glass list. Skip the prosecco upgrade — the wine list does the work.
4

McGettigan's JLT — Bonnington Hotel

📍 JLT, Bonnington Hotel💰 AED 165pp🕐 1pm–6pm🍺 Live trad music
McGettigan's JLT Sunday roast plate

McGettigan's is the loudest, busiest, most uncomplicatedly fun Sunday roast in Dubai. The room is half pub, half clatter, the live Irish band fires up around 3pm, and the roast is straightforwardly excellent for the price. Topside of beef, Yorkshire, four kinds of potato, gravy that is proper roasting-tin reduction. Bring company who actually want to chat — and shout — over the music.

I went on Sunday 22 March 2026 with a six-top. We took the corner booth by the window. The kitchen sent out a free round of crispy onion rings because we got the timing right. AED 165 per person — and this is honest, generous food.

Order this Beef roast (AED 165) and a pint of Kilkenny. Add the £10 ($35 in actual money) bread board upgrade — the soda bread is the best in JLT.
5

The Croft — Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites

📍 Marriott Harbour, Marina💰 AED 245pp · AED 325 with wine🕐 12:30pm–4pm🌅 Marina view
The Croft Marriott Harbour Marina Sunday roast view

The Croft is the elder statesman of Marina-area roasts and the place to go if you want a hotel-grade roast without the hotel-grade ceremony. The dining room is bright, the harbour view is honest, and the beef is consistently the most pink-rare of any roast in this list — the kitchen runs the beef under-temperature on purpose and lets you ask for medium-well if you want.

I went on 30 March 2026 with two friends. We took the window two-top facing the boats. The whole table got the beef. The Yorkshires are made fresh every twenty minutes and arrived warm. The wine option (AED 325pp for the beef plus a half-bottle of Pinotage) is one of the best value upgrades in the marina.

Order this Beef + wine pairing (AED 325). Add the cauliflower cheese (AED 38) and ask for extra gravy on the side.
6

The Eloquent Elephant — Taj JLT

📍 Taj JLT💰 AED 185pp · AED 245 bottomless🕐 1pm–5pm🎵 DJ from 4pm
The Eloquent Elephant Taj JLT Sunday roast

The Eloquent Elephant is the most stylish-looking room on this list — dark green walls, brass fittings, an actual library of cocktail books on the back wall. The roast is pub-style executed at five-star hotel temperature. The beef is well-rested, the Yorkshire is taller than it is wide, and the cauliflower cheese has a proper Gruyère crust. The bottomless upgrade at AED 245 is genuinely bottomless — they will keep coming with the wine until you stop them.

The crowd is younger than the other entries on this list. From 4pm the room turns into a quiet bar party.

Order this Beef roast with bottomless (AED 245). Sit at the high-tops along the bar if you came with two — best service in the room.
7

The Sum Of Us — Trade Centre / Burj Daman

📍 Burj Daman, Trade Centre💰 AED 175pp🕐 12pm–4pm☕ Indie roaster
The Sum Of Us Trade Centre Sunday roast brunch

The Sum Of Us does a Sunday roast that doesn't feel like a Sunday roast — it is served in a third-wave coffee shop with industrial lighting and a community-table seating plan. That sounds wrong on paper and works beautifully on Sunday. The beef is locally sourced from Greenheart Organic Farms, the gravy is a roasted-bone reduction, and the Yorkshire is small and crisp. The whole thing arrives on a single plate, no theatrics.

This is the roast for people who don't want a pub. AED 175 includes the roast and a flat white. The under-30 crowd skews high here — the room is more co-working than community.

Order this Roast with flat white (AED 175). Add the brownie for AED 38 — it's a hidden weapon.
8

Lock, Stock & Barrel — Grand Millennium Barsha Heights

📍 Grand Millennium, Barsha Heights💰 AED 155pp🕐 1pm–6pm🎸 Live band from 5
Lock Stock and Barrel Barsha Sunday roast plate

Lock, Stock & Barrel is loud, cheap, and reliably solid. The roast at AED 155 is the third-cheapest on this list and is the best pure-value proposition. Beef is honest, Yorkshire is small, gravy is good. The band from 5pm onwards is what makes the room — go in for the roast at 2pm, stay through the band, leave by 7pm.

Skip the Barsha Heights LSB if you can — the JBR branch's roast is the same recipe but with a sea view.

Order this Roast beef (AED 155) and a pint of John Smith's. Skip the brunch upgrade — the food is the same, you're just paying for drinks.
9

Garden on 8 — Media One Hotel

📍 Media One, Media City💰 AED 199pp🕐 12:30pm–4pm🌳 Rooftop garden
Garden on 8 rooftop Media City Sunday roast

Garden on 8 is the only rooftop Sunday roast in this list, and the rooftop is the entire point. Eighth floor of the Media One Hotel, garden seating under shade canopies, a view of Media City and the Marina towers. The roast itself is solid — beef is well-rested, Yorkshire is properly puffed, gravy is good — but you are mostly buying the view and the breeze.

Best between November and April. Avoid June–September unless you book the indoor section.

Order this Standard roast (AED 199) and a glass of the house Malbec. Request the corner two-top for the city view.
10

The Brass Monkey — Wyndham Dubai Marina

📍 Wyndham, Dubai Marina💰 AED 145pp🕐 1pm–5pm💸 Cheapest in Marina
The Brass Monkey Wyndham Marina Sunday roast plate

The Brass Monkey is the cheapest Sunday roast in Dubai Marina at AED 145, which is what gets it on this list. The beef is thinner than the higher-ranked entries and the Yorkshire is supermarket-spec, but the gravy is honest and the trimmings are correctly seasoned. If you are between paydays in Marina and craving a roast, this is the answer.

The room is small and gets booked out by Saturday afternoon — call ahead.

Order this Roast beef set (AED 145) and a pint of Guinness. Add an extra Yorkshire (AED 12) — they're small.
11

Q's Bar & Lounge — Palazzo Versace

📍 Palazzo Versace, Culture Village💰 AED 345pp · AED 445 wine pairing🕐 1pm–4pm👑 Glam factor
Q's Bar Palazzo Versace Sunday roast plate

Q's is the Quincy Jones tribute bar at Palazzo Versace and the Sunday roast is the most theatrical on this list. The room itself looks like the inside of a Bond villain's library — black-and-gold trim, leather banquettes, a baby grand piano. The roast is delivered with three sauces (red wine, horseradish, mustard cream) and a fluted Yorkshire. The beef is Australian wagyu MB6 and the price reflects it.

This is a date roast, an anniversary roast, a "we want it to feel like a Sunday in Mayfair" roast. Not a value roast.

Order this Wagyu roast with wine pairing (AED 445). Sit at the booth nearest the piano if you came as two — best lighting in the room.
12

The MAINE Land Brasserie — Sheraton Grand

📍 Sheraton Grand, Trade Centre💰 AED 265pp🕐 12:30pm–4pm🦞 Brasserie format
The Maine Land Brasserie Sheraton Sunday roast

The MAINE Land's Sunday roast is the brasserie-format roast on this list — a starter, a roast, and a dessert at AED 265pp. The beef is fine but not memorable; what makes the MAINE roast worth a visit is the supporting structure. The crab claws to start are excellent. The cheese trolley wheels by at the end. The room itself, with its brass fittings and live piano, is one of the prettier brasserie rooms in town.

This is the roast for a leisurely two-hour Sunday. Don't go if you want the beef to be the star — go if you want a slow afternoon.

Order this Three-course set (AED 265). Skip the wine upgrade — the bottle list is overpriced by 30 percent.

What Makes a Real Dubai Sunday Roast

A good Sunday roast in Dubai has to clear five tests. Skip any of them and the roast is at best a curiosity, at worst a waste of AED 200. The list above is built around what passes them.

The Yorkshire pudding must be made fresh. Bull & Bear bakes individual ones to order. Reform Social cycles them every twenty minutes. If the kitchen is reaching into a stack of pre-cooked Yorkshires under a heat lamp, walk away. A good Yorkshire is hollow, taller than it is wide, with a properly crisp rim and a slightly squidgy base.

The gravy must be roasting-tin reduction. Not stock-cube. Not gravy granules. You will know the difference instantly — proper gravy tastes of pan, fat, and a long slow Sunday afternoon. Bull & Bear's gravy is the city's reigning benchmark.

The beef must be rested. Pink-rare is the right starting temperature. If your slice has been sitting on a buffet pass under heat lamps, the juices have already run out. Carving to order — as Bull & Bear, Reform Social, and The Croft do — is the gold standard.

The trimmings must be seasoned. Unseasoned roast potatoes are a sin. Cabbage that hasn't been braised in something is a waste. Cauliflower cheese without proper béchamel is a tragedy.

Value matters. A AED 295 roast at Bull & Bear is reasonable for what arrives at the table. A AED 295 roast at a generic five-star buffet is not. The list above weights value heavily because Dubai has, for years, been a city where hotel restaurants charge AED 350 for an indifferent slice of beef and a pre-cooked Yorkshire. The twelve venues above all give you your money back.

💡 Pro Tip: Booking Strategy Every venue on this list books out by Saturday evening in season (October–April). Reform Social and Bull & Bear book out 7–14 days ahead for the family-sized tables. Set a calendar reminder for Wednesday morning to book the following Sunday. Cancellations open 24 hours before — set a Saturday-night Google reminder if you missed the window.

Sunday Roast Dubai — Honest Pros and Cons

What Dubai Does Well

  • Beef quality across the city is excellent — Australian and South African cuts dominate
  • Five-star service standards at Bull & Bear and Q's set a higher bar than London
  • Sundays are family-friendly across the board — multiple venues run kids' menus and play space
  • Outdoor terraces from October–April let you eat a roast under blue sky
  • Range — you can pay AED 145 or AED 445 and both get you a satisfying afternoon

Where Dubai Falls Short

  • Yorkshire pudding quality is wildly inconsistent — many venues still serve from frozen
  • Gravy is the most common failure point — too many rooms still use stock-cube reductions
  • Most independent roasts vanish in June — the season is functionally October–May
  • Pricing creeps every November — last year's AED 175 is this year's AED 195
  • Roast culture is shallow — almost no venues do a proper Sunday roast outside hotels

Sunday Roasts Worth Skipping

For balance, three of the twenty-six I tested are not on this list and will not be missed. I will not name them. What I will say is: if a venue's Sunday roast is priced at AED 195pp and includes a "DJ from 12pm" — that's a brunch with a slice of beef on it. That is not a roast. The DJ tells you the kitchen is the second priority.

Similarly: any roast that's part of a buffet, where the beef carving station shares a heat lamp with three other meats and a tray of dauphinoise — that is not what we are doing here. The roast is a single-plate ritual. If it arrives buffet-style, the venue is not committed.

Sunday Roast Dubai: FAQ

How much does a Sunday roast in Dubai cost?

The honest range in 2026 is AED 145–395pp before drinks. Pub-style at McGettigan's, Brass Monkey, and Lock Stock sits at AED 145–175. Mid-tier independents (Reform, Goose Island, Eloquent Elephant) land at AED 195–245. Five-star hotel roasts (Bull & Bear, Q's, MAINE Land) push AED 265–395.

What's the best Sunday roast in Dubai for kids?

Reform Social & Grill in The Lakes — they have a children's roast at AED 65, a lawn for kids to run on, and the kitchen will serve the kids first if you ask. Goose Island at the Westin is the second pick if you're on the marina side — beach-side terrace with kid-friendly tables.

When does Sunday roast service run in Dubai?

Most venues run 12:30pm–4:30pm with carving service closing around 4pm. McGettigan's and Lock, Stock & Barrel run until 6pm. Reform Social goes until 5pm. Always book — every venue on this list sells out by Saturday night in season.

Which Dubai Sunday roast has the best Yorkshire pudding?

Bull & Bear at Waldorf Astoria DIFC. Individual, fluted, the size of a small bowl, baked to order. Reform Social's are the homestyle benchmark and the second-best in the city. Q's Bar & Lounge's fluted Yorkshire is also excellent. Avoid any room that serves Yorkshires from a heat lamp.

Is Sunday roast a Sunday-only thing in Dubai?

Mostly. Reform Social and McGettigan's run a Friday roast lunch. The Croft does a Saturday roast set. Goose Island does a Saturday version on request for groups of six+. But the full Sunday-roast culture is a Sunday ritual — go on Sunday for the real thing.

Are there vegetarian Sunday roasts in Dubai?

Yes, eight venues on this list have a vegetarian roast at AED 30–50 less than the beef option. Reform Social's mushroom Wellington is the strongest in the city. Bull & Bear does a beetroot Wellington with proper truffle gravy. Skip Lock, Stock & Barrel for veggie — the kitchen's heart isn't in it.
